SUV?
Sports car? There are many reasons for vehicles to be towed on a
flatbed. On some vehicles, manufacturers specify their vehicles may
only be safely towed on a flatbed truck. After all, just as not all
cars are made the same way, not all cars are towed the same way. Whether
its a Minicooper, Shelby Cobra, 78 Super Beetle, or something a little more
customized, (like a Dupont Monte Carlo), sometimes the best way to transport it
is just get the wheels off the road. All of our 21' steel bed carriers are
equipped with a 4 wheel tie down system. This system has proven itself to
be extremely effective in safely transporting any type of vehicle by securing
the part of your vehicle already designed to handle the entire weight of the
car, your wheels. Vehicles equipped with ride levelers, air shocks, and
other computer controlled suspension parts may be damaged by other, older means
of towing (ie. chains attached to the front and rear of the vehicle at the same
time, and tightened by the winch), however, the four wheel strap system allows
the suspension to continue to do it's job unimpeded.
